WELCOME TO HAWAII Report by Sara

These islands are the USA's 50th state. The first inhabitants were from Polynesia.

A GROUP OF ISLANDS:
Hawaii is a group of  islands in the Pacific Ocean. There are eight islands.They are volcanic. Honolulu is the capital of the islands, I mean, of the state.

ANIMALS IN THE SEA:
There are a lot of fishes, but there are turtles, whales and dolphins too.

THE HULA DANCE:
The Hula is very traditional in Hawaii. In the costume, always there are a lot of flowers.

SURFING: A TRADITIONAL SPORT:
It is very famous in Hawaii. It started in 1905 in Hawaii. The children start doing surf when they are very young.

CANOEING: A NATIONAL SPORT:
The canoeing is a national sport in Hawaii. They call it "padling". There are a lot of clubs.

THE HAKA:
Haka is a war dance. It's a Polynesian tradition. It's older than the canoeing.
