Brian Acton and Jan Koum, are the inventors of the famous app "Whatsapp". Brian Acton, was born on the 17th of February 1972 (in Michigan, USA), and Jan Koum was born on the 24th of February1976 (in Kiev, Ukraine).

Acton graduated at Lake Howell High School. Then, he graduated another time at Stanford university, in 1994 with a degree in computer science. At the age of 18, Koum was interested in programming. He registered in the State University of San Jose and simultaneously he was employed at "Ernst and Young safety changing room". Then, he worked with "Yahoo" for nine years. They first met, in "Yahoo" office, when Jan was working and Brian was studying.

Their creators did not think much, they were sure that they wanted to call it Whatsapp, that in Spanish means "¿Qué pasa?" (What's up?)

They made a really good work, because at the moment, a billion people have this App, (100 million people more than Facebook), and they win 6 cents per message.
