She grew up in Colombia.Her mum is from Colombia and her dad is Lebanese.Shakira lives in Miami,Florida, in the USA.Her friends call her Shaki.Shakira in Arabic is ``full of grace´´.At seven she wanted a typewriter to type her poems and song lyrics.She decided to be a singer when she was ten years old.She made an album ``Magia´´ with thirteen years old.It was in Spanish.She wrote the songs between the ages of eight and thirteen.She speaks three languages:Spanish,Portuguese,and English.She writes songs in English and Spanish.
