Thomas Edison was born in February 11,1847, Milan, Ohio, United States.

 He grew up in Port Huran, Michigan. He was the seventh and
 last child of Samuel Ogden Edison.

 He was businessman and inventor.

On December 25, 1871, Edison Married 16-years old Mary Stilwell and they had three children, two boys
called Charles and Theodore and a girl called Madeleine.

He died in October 18, 1931, New Jersey, Unit States.

His major invention, an incandescent light bulb, incandescent lamp. It is an electric light which produces light with a filament wire heated to a high temperature by an electric current passing through it until it glows.

 
 How this person's accomplishments changed the world?
With this invention we can see very well when it's dark and we have: Irons, kettles, toasters, microwave ovens, fridges, dishwashers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, TVs, video recorders, telephones, lamps, clocks...
